PREAMBLE
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all services offered on the GAIA Ecolodge website or any other communication medium.
The content of the website is intended to inform customers. Some of the services offered may be subject to change depending on the occupancy rate and/or be accessible on certain dates only during the season. The prices indicated are given for information purposes only and are subject to change and are valid only for the current season.
The service will take place at the rate in force on the date of the order. Prices are indicated inclusive of VAT. Any change in the VAT rate will result in a change in the rate. In accordance with the Tourism Code, GAIA Ecolodge reserves the right to make changes to the information on the website or any other communication medium. In the event of significant changes, these will be communicated on the campsite website via Erratum.
1. BOOKING CONDITIONS
• All contracting parties must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract and not be under guardianship or curatorship. The contractor must be present for the entire duration of the stay.
The reservation is effective only with the agreement of the campsite, after receipt of the deposit and after receipt of either the duly completed and signed reservation contract, or after acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale when booking online.
• The reservation of a camping pitch or a rental is made on a strictly personal basis. You may not sublet or transfer your reservation without the prior consent of the campsite.
• Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Camping pitch
• The basic package includes a pitch for a tent, caravan or motorhome for 1 or 2 people, access to sanitary facilities and reception facilities. Additional costs (extra person, pets, extra vehicle, etc.) are not included in the basic package and will be added to it. The camping pitches can accommodate up to 6 people maximum (including baby).
For the pitches, you can be welcomed from 12 noon to 8 pm
Rental
• Rental accommodation is equipped. The basic package is from 2 to 8 people (baby included) depending on the type of rental.
• Gaia Ecolodge reserves the right to refuse access to the campsite to groups or families arriving with a number of participants greater than the capacity of the rented accommodation.
Booking Fees
The administrative fee is €20 for a rental and €15 for a camping pitch.
2. RATES, TOURIST TAX & ECO-PARTICIPATION
• The prices shown are valid for the 2024 season. Prices are in euros, VAT included, and correspond to the accommodation chosen, its number of people and its duration. Local taxes and any surcharges are not included.
• An eco-tax is to be paid on arrival, for the night and per person. Our operation is subject to taxes for the withdrawal of natural resources (clean water) and the retreatment of waste (wastewater, household waste, etc.). It is therefore a budgetary repercussion with a value of compensation and awareness ( 0.50 € /pers /night)
3. PAYMENT TERMS
• For rentals, for bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the stay, a deposit of 30% of the price of the booked services must be paid at the time of booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start date of the stay at the campsite.
• On a camping pitch, for bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the stay, a deposit of 30% of the price of the booked services must be paid at the time of booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start date of the stay at the campsite.
• For bookings made less than 30 days before the start date of the stay, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
4. NO RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, Gaia Ecolodge informs its customers that the sale of accommodation services provided on a specific date, or at a specific interval, is not subject to the provisions relating to the 14-day withdrawal period.
5. PAYMENT OF THE STAY
Accepted payment methods
For both the deposit and the balance, you can honour your reservation or stay by the following payment methods:
Bank cheque, French postal cheque, holiday voucher, cash, credit card, national or international bank transfer

Any binding reservation request from the buyer is broken down as follows:
● Deposit of 30% of the amount of the stay + booking fees + cancellation insurance (optional)
● Balance of the stay no later than 30 days before your arrival for stays in rental accommodation and camping pitches. In the event that the balance is not paid within the stated deadlines, it will be deemed to have been cancelled and our cancellation conditions described below will apply.

6. CANCELLATION AND CHANGES
Changing your booking
● The Client may request the modification of their stay (dates, type of accommodation). Without prejudice to the fact that full payment of the balance is due prior to departure, any changes at the customer's request are possible and may incur a change fee. Any request for modifications must give rise to written confirmation from the client and remains subject to availability and acceptance by Gaia Ecolodge. In the event that the Contracting Party wishes to extend their stay, the current rate will be applied. Any change you make from a higher range to a lower range will not give rise to any refund.
● Any request to reduce the length of your stay is considered a partial cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation and interruption of stay conditions.
● Any request by the CLIENT to modify or cancel the STAY must be sent to Gaia Ecolodge by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. The deadlines mentioned below are from the date of receipt of this letter, as evidenced by the postmark. Cancellation or modification of the STAY will result in the collection of at least the following fees:
* Beyond 30 days before the start of the STAY: 30% of the price of the STAY + the booking fee + the insurance costs (if subscribed);
* Less than 30 days before the start of the STAY: 100% of the price of the STAY + the booking fee + the insurance costs (if subscribed).
Unused benefits
Any stay that is interrupted, shortened (late arrival, early departure), or in the event of non-presentation on the campsite of an accommodation booked by the customer will not give rise to any refund of the said service.
To obtain possible compensation, we invite you to take out cancellation or interruption of stay insurance when booking.
In the event of cancellation by Gaia Ecolodge, except in cases of force majeure, the stay will be fully refunded. However, this cancellation cannot give rise to the payment of damages.

7. YOUR STAY
Arrival
o Camping pitches: arrivals are from 12:00 noon and the pitch must be vacated before 12:00 noon.
o Rental accommodation: on the day of your arrival, you will be welcomed from 3:00 p.m., and when you receive the keys to your rental, you will be asked for a deposit.
During your stay
The campsite declines all responsibility in the event of an incident under the civil responsibility of the camper. All guests must comply with the provisions of the house rules.
Each tenant is responsible for the disturbances and nuisances caused by the people who stay with him or visit him.
Departure
• Rental accommodation: on the day of departure indicated on your contract, the rental accommodation must be vacated before 11 a.m. The accommodation will be returned in a perfect state of cleanliness, and the inventory can be checked, any broken or damaged object will remain at your expense, as well as the restoration of the premises if necessary. Please make an appointment for the inventory.
• The deposit will be returned to you at the end of your stay, minus the compensation withheld, on supporting invoices, for any damage noted by the inventory of fixtures at the end of the stay. The withholding of the deposit does not exclude additional compensation in the event that the costs are higher than the amount of the deposit.
• In the event that the accommodation has not been cleaned before your departure, a cleaning fee of a minimum value of €60 including VAT will be required.
• For any delayed departure, you may be charged an additional day at the current nightly rate.
8. VISITORS
Visitors are admitted to the campsite after having presented themselves at the campsite reception under the responsibility of their host and having paid the visitor fee. Visitors will have access to the campsite's facilities, with the exception of the aquatic areas and the fishing pond.
9. ANIMALS
Pets are accepted (except dogs of the 1st and 2nd category) for a fee payable at the time of your reservation. They must be kept on a leash at all times.
They are prohibited around swimming pools, in food shops and in buildings. The vaccination record for dogs and cats must be up to date.
It is strictly forbidden to leave your pet alone in the campsite or in a rental.
It is mandatory to pick up your pet's droppings within the campsite.
10. IMAGE
You expressly authorise Gaia Ecolodge to use photographs and/or films that may be taken during your stay for communication purposes, without compensation.
Any holidaymaker who refuses to be photographed or filmed during their stay must inform GAIA Ecolodge in advance and in writing. You also authorize their distribution, publication and marketing on any type of media that may be used.
11. DISPUTE
● Any possible complaint concerning the non-compliance of the services with respect to the contractual commitments can be reported by post or e-mail to Gaia Ecolodge.
In the event of a dispute, you may contact us in the following ways:
● Sending a letter by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt Gaia Ecolodge.
Litigation at mediation
In accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Code concerning the mediation process for consumer disputes, the client has the right to use the mediation service offered by GAIA Ecolodge free of charge.
The proposed consumer rights mediator is MEDICYS.

12. GAIA Ecolodge LIABILITY
The customer expressly acknowledges that Gaia Ecolodge cannot be held responsible for the communication by its partners. All photos and texts used on the Gaia Ecolodge website are non-contractual. They are only indicative.
13. DATA PROTECTION
The information you provide to us when placing your order will not be passed on to any third party. This information will be considered by GAIA Ecolodge as confidential. It will be used solely by Gaia Ecolodge, for the processing of your order and to strengthen and personalise the communication and the offer of services reserved for Gaia Ecolodge customers according to your interests.
